Brandy Alexander

  • 45 ml cognac
  • 30 ml crème de cacao
  • 30 ml fresh cream

Shake with ice and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with finely grated nutmeg.

Brandy Alexanders can be rather cloying when classically made 1:1:1. The trick is to up the level of cognac. It is a better balanced drink for it but is a dangerous tipple already. What could possibly go wrong? Well quite a lot if history is to judge.
