Vesper – Olimax' Extreme Lunching

Vesper

  • 75 ml Gordon’s gin
  • 25 ml Polish vodka
  • 12 ml Lillet Blanc (Kina Lillet is no longer manufactured)

Shake with ice. Sieve into coupe glass. Dress with lemon peel.

The Vesper was Ian Fleming’s creation. Bond is on the lash again.
“Just a moment. Three measures of Gordon’s, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it’s ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it? This drink’s my own invention. I’m going to patent it when I think of a good name.”
Bond in Casino Royale

In a paper in the BMJ, the British Medical Journal, 2013, intensive care and liver specialists at the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust wrote that Bond was:
“in the highest risk group for malignancies, depression, hypertension, and cirrhosis.”
In Casino Royale, Bond consumes 39 units before crashing his car in a high speed chase. His alcohol consumption was 92 units a week, they concluded, four times the recommended limit. Double Diamonds Are For Ever! Dr. says No.
