Whiskey Sour – Olimax' Extreme Lunching

Whiskey Sour

  • 60 ml bourbon
  • 30 ml lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 15 ml 2:1 simple syrup
  • 15 ml egg white
  • Angostura bitters

Dry shake everything first for 30 seconds, then add ice and shake again. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass over fresh ice. Tap 3-4 drops of Angostura bitters onto the foam. Garnish with a ‘sail’, a maraschino cherry sandwiched, with a cocktail stick, between the two ends of a lemon slice.

Yet another sour, this time with bourbon, but a most popular one. With the egg white, it can be called a Boston Sour. With a splash of red wine floated on top, over the back of a spoon, it becomes a New York Sour. Sounds quite disgusting.

You can miss out on the egg white if you are adverse to chickens but it is a lesser drink without it.
